RULES AND REGULATIONS
• Venturer Companies must have Advisor Present at time of check in or no Admittance to Snake Island.
• Absolutely no alcohol or illegal drugs allowed on site
• No firearms, fireworks, bows, or other weapons
• Medical forms must be on participants at all times
• No swimming anywhere on Snake Island. Swim at your own risk on other parts of
the Islands
• No unauthorized campfires allowed anywhere on Snake Island
• A site curfew is in effect on Friday and Saturday Night
• Venturer Companies and Ranger Units must have an advisor present on site all
weekend.
• All participants MUST be registered venturers, rovers and rangers... as of the Friday of camp.
• All participants must be registered in good standing with either Scouts Canada or Girl Guides of Canada
for the 2006/2007 or 2007/2008 year
• Each group must bring a 10 L bucket or fire extinguisher for every two tents.
• Absolutely no smoking in the tent area.
Groups may be asked to leave at anytime for breaking the rules of the event or
for interfering with the enjoyment of the Toronto Island by others.
RISK MANAGEMENT
All participants are expected to live up the spirit of the Scouting and Guiding
laws as well as abide by all of the policies and procedures set by the National
Council of Scouts Canada and laws governing this event. It is the responsibility
of all groups to ensure that they follow the proper Scouting/Guiding risk
management policies.
Risk management forms may be downloaded directly from the Scouts Canada and Girl
Guides of Canada web sites. For inquires regarding risk management, please
contact your local council directly.
